Greg's elder brothers Bob,John and Bruce started earthmoving around 1959/60.
They saw an opportunity to combine earth moving with their farming business started by their Dad , Hec, at Diggers Rest in 1935. They also purchased a wheat farm at Quambatook in 1960. They often moved machinery between Diggers Rest and Quambatook on trucks like the old 'Commer'.
Their first bulldozer was a LeTorneau-Westinghouse LW16 (4 wheel drive skid -steer,like a giant Bobcat!

The cabin on this dozer was air-conditioned of course !

The old Chev semi trailer was used to cart hay and grain. The 'Commers' where later model British trucks ,all with petrol engines.

Anderson,s started the Scoria Quarry at Blackhill Road ,Diggers Rest around 1968/9. Here is a photo of an Allis -Chalmers HD 21 working at the quarry in the 70's.
A new Terex dozer arriving at the quarry in the 80's. It had a GM V12 two stroke diesel engine - the radiator in the back behind the cabin. It was a D9 size dozer.
